Designed within the adaptive reuse and expansion of a historic parking structure in Washington Heights, New York, the WHIN Music Community Charter School integrates music and education into every aspect of the student experience. Wiedenbach Brown provided lighting and controls for the project, supporting spaces that range from classrooms and circulation areas to the prominent street-facing concert hall at the center of the school. In coordination with the project team, WB’s lighting solutions reinforce the building’s rhythm, transparency, and layered architectural character while supporting the school’s music-focused mission. The result is a flexible and welcoming educational environment that balances performance, community engagement, and daily learning.
