Robert Tisdale
Customer Service Associate New York Office |
|
With 37 years of service at Wiedenbach-Brown, Robert (Bob) Tisdale is considered to be a walking reference guide for lamps. Product knowledge is not a challenge but a goal that Bob continues to achieve.
Approximately 50 percent of his day is dedicated to assisting clients with lamp education and identification. "When clients call, they are assured they will be taken care of by Customer Service. Whenever a client is uncertain of the type of lamp, nine out of ten times I can identify the lamp based on the client's description."
For Bob, the meaning of customer service is knowing the product, always being polite and servicing clients. "If clients are mistreated, or we are not informed about a product, then we are failing our clients. For us, it is all about the client. We are here to service the client." |

Lamp Education for Clients: Recently, a client called to speak with a Customer Service associate about a unique lamp. The client was unable to determine the type of lamp; however, he had a sample with him. He knew a member of the WB Customer Service department could identify the lamp.
After hearing the description, the associate realized the uniqueness of the lamp and decided to consult with Bob. Bob was able to determine that the lamp was a Closed Aluminum Reflector (ALR), 37mm, 12 volts with a B15d base (20ALR12/FL32/GBF).
