Historic Icon Makes a Case for Retrofits
What do you get when you put WB together with Jones Lang LaSalle in the most iconic building in the world? How about $2.3 million in energy savings?
The innovative energy efficiency program at the Empire State Building has exceeded guaranteed energy savings for the second year in a row, saving $2.3 million and providing a new model for building retrofits that is now being rolled out nationwide. When Jones Lang LaSalle was asked to help convert this historic icon into an energy-efficient LEED EB-Gold building, they teamed up with Wiedenbach Brown to use innovative daylight harvesting technology to reduce lighting costs without altering specifications.
