Joining the family business in 1976, Chris Brown saw the company grow from a New York metropolitan-area light bulb and lighting fixture distributor to a national full-service lighting and electrical solutions provider prior to the sale of the company to USESI in 2006. Known for his collaborative and inclusive management style, Chris led the company through the most innovative period of its history, focusing on providing the most efficient, high test quality lighting products to thousands of commercial clients around the country.
He was chairman of the Energy Committee of the New York Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) from 1994 thru 2007, providing insight into energy-saving issues. He has been involved as a presenter for The New York Energy Buyers Forum, the Professional Retail Store Maintenance (PRSM) and other associations due to his expertise in energy-efficient lighting technologies. Chris has created and moderated many energy, lighting and sustainability related roundtables and seminars, including the annual Energy Awareness Day for BOMA New York, now in its 12th year.
When not involved with one or more of his four kids, Chris enjoys travel, golf, tennis, photography and continues his search for the "world's best garlic and sausage pizza”.
